To login to JioFi.Local.html, follow the below steps –

  • Open browser.
  • Enter http://jiofi.local.html in the URL bar.
  • In case you are using a JioFi Dongle, enter http://jiodongle.local.html/.
  • Now hit the Login button.
  • Enter the administrator as both username and password.

How to Configure JioFi Router via JioFi.Local.html?

  • Open browser.
  • Enter http://jiofi.local.html in the URL bar.
  • In case you are using a JioFi Dongle, enter http://jiodongle.local.html/.
  • Now hit the Login button.
  • Enter the administrator as both username and password.
  • Go to Settings> WiFi. Here, change the SSD of the Network, I.e. WiFi Network Name.
  • Now go to Settings> WiFi> Password. Change password.
  • Then go ahead to Settings> User Management. Change the Username.

  • Download Jio 4G Voice call app from Google Play Store on that phone.
  • Go to the dialer of your phone and enter the number you want to make a call to or simply select from contacts
  • You will see a green calling icon below. Tap on it to make a 4G call via JioFi Router.
  • For messages, go to messages and tap on the green + icon.

How to Change username and password?

Here’s how you can easily change the Username and password of the JioFi Router device.

  • Connect JioFi router to Smartphone or PC or Laptop over WiFi network or USB.
  • On your smartphone, Open browser.
  • Enter http://jiofi.local.html in the URL bar.
  • In case you are using a JioFi Dongle, enter http://jiodongle.local.html/.
  • Now hit the Login button.
  • Enter the administrator as both username and password.
  • Go to Settings> WiFi.
  • Enter the new Username in the SSID field and new password in the password field.
  • Click on Save.

That’s it. You have successfully changed the Username and password of your Jiofi router device.

How to connect JioFi to PC/Laptop?

  • Switch on your Jiofi router device.
  • On your Laptop or PC, go to the WiFi network, generally present as a small icon on the bottom right side of the home screen.
  • Click on it.
  • Click on JioFi SSD Name.
  • Now enter the JioFi password which you will find on the battery of the router.
  • Click on Connect.

  • Firstly, insert a MicroSD card in the JioFi device.
  • Enable Storage account.
  • Setup by entering Username and password.
  • You can access files in the SD card with the help of any device connected to Hotspot via WiFi.
  • Now to access data on SD Card, enter http://jiofi.local.html/sdcard.html in the browser.
  • Hit the WiFi disk button and enter your username and password on the following screen.

Troubleshoot jiofi.local.html not opening

In case you are having trouble with opening the jiofi.local.html web page, try out the below method to factory reset Jiofi.local.html.

  • On your JioFi device, take off the back cover and find the small RESET button.
  • Now with a sharp and pointed object like a needle or toothpick, insert into the RESET hole.
  • Then, press and hold the RESET button with the needle/toothpick for about 15-30 seconds.
  • The LEDs on the device will turn red and the device will now reboot.
  • Once the device reboots, Jiofi will be factory Reset.
  • Now you should be able to open jiofi.local.html.
